Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Final Sacrifice

I laughed so hard I almost threw up
There are two parts to this review: 1) the actual movie, and 2) the MST3000 part.

The movie is in the horror/science fiction genre: Thousands of years ago, a city of an advanced civilization disappeared but, apparently, evil descendents of the superior beings skulk around the woods in Alberta (led by a marvelous villain named Satoris) looking for the city while wearing hoodies, jogging trousers, and black teeshirts. They all have strange tattoos. OK. That's basically the plot, except that a young teenager (name of Troy)is being hunted by them, and he somehow teams up with a man who (what a coincidence!) is an ex member of the cult. His name is... Rowsdower -- Zap Rowsdower. There is also a wonderful grizzled fellow named Mike Pipper.

This is all so funny that is difficult to imagine what could make it funnier. But MST3000 manages it.

The MST3000 part of the story is, as usual, just an onslaught of funny comments. My personal favorites have to...

If you could only watch (or show your friends) one MST3K
It should be this one, followed by Puma Man.

Some will say that Manos: The Hands of Fate is the best. What they really mean is that Manos is the worst movie they ever did, which isn't quite the same thing.

If you want a hilariously bad, incredibly campy, odd couple Canadian adventure film, this is it. You'll be quoting this one with your friends.

Hilarious!
This is hands down my favorite of the mystery science theater episodes! The first time I watched it, I missed half of the jokes because I was laughing so hard. Each and every part of the commentary during the movie is well timed and well played. I am not a huge fan of the commentaries when they're in the spaceship not actually watching the movie, but when the movie is playing, each of the three characters is really on their game. Fantastic! I highly recommend watching this if you'd like to laugh incessantly for a solid hour and a half. Thumbs up!
